Burris Oracle X

My thoughts are the same. The warranty is the other factor. Burris is lifetime vs 1 year for the Garmin.

I'm curious if there will be any black Friday sales. Conversely, will tariffs raise or keep prices where they are?

RAVIN specific Garmin is selling for $999 at Wyverns creations right now.

Also, does anyone know if either will fit in the Ravin hardcase with the scope mounted?

Seems like they both fit, depending on which case/scope/crossbow you have.

Ever see a coupon code for these guys? There's a spot at checkout, but Google doesn't turn up anything.

Haven't seen any discount codes. That's just the price that shows up on their site and I think the Garmin was usually $1,399? Wyvern has had the best prices that I've found for Ravin. Some of the stuff is cheaper than what is listed on Ravins' own site somehow. I have a hard case for my Ravin but haven't tried to put the bow away yet. Over on Crossbow nation a couple of guys were talking like the Garmin scope will fit the case if you have the scope mounted far enough back(towards the stock). Worst case scenario is taking the scope off to put it away for the winter but I'd rather just be able to take the bow out of the case and shoot without re-sighting all over again. Right now I have the garmin mounted more forward than I really want it to avoid hitting the adjustment knob when you crank it back. Bought a smaller bolt for the adjusting lock to solve that problem but haven't tinkered with that yet.

I usually confirm my sight in at home, throw it in the case and take it to camp. Sometimes I'll keep in the case and toss it in the bed of the Ranger too.

Interesting that the "Ravin" model has clearance issues with the crank. Have a link to the part you bought? Which crossbow model do you have?

Ravin LR is what I have. The smaller adjustment lock/bolts I found right on the garmin site. The clearance issue is that larger knurled thumb lock that sticks out just far enough that the crank will just tick the knob if the scope is too close. I just moved the scope farther out to avoid the crank but I want to move the scope closer to my eye. Would be great if the knob was on the other side of the scope. The replacement bolt was a $10 bolt. I guess Wyvern USED to give you the replacement bolt when you purchased the garmin scope from them but they must have stopped throwing the bolt in. I just got the crossbow a couple of months ago so I'm still new and learning about crossbows and everything that can be used with 'em. Should know a lot more about it next year after I can spend some time and try some different things with a crossbow. Contemplating fixed blade broadheads but haven't shot them yet to see if that'll work or not. Ordered some 100 grain slick tricks for crossbow to experiment with. jmo

Link in article didn't work to product.

I'm aware of them, never bought anything from them. I DO know they want a lot less for the Ravin jack plate than anywhere else on the web.

I see the Garmin seems to have come down a little. I wonder if they have a new model in the pipeline.

Ravin is selling the Ravin specific model for $999 now. There may be ways for folks to get discounts. I think they offer a Pro and veterans/military discount. You'd have to check if it would stack.

The other model is the same price most places, including straight from Garmin. (which is what made me wonder)

None of the companies I have dealer accounts with carry them sadly. One used to, but no more sadly.

(Didn't see it through GovX.. I looked. lol Just about everything but.)
