Burning before Switch planting?

I had the fire dept out this spring to do some burning to satisfy my CRP contract. I have one area of 3-4 acres I want to frost seed switch in this winter. It has not been burnt yet and has been in CRP/brome grass for decades. Im considering spraying gly this early fall, and then burning it and later frost seeding this winter. Is it a bad idea to burn before frost seeding? Theres a lot of old thatch on the ground so I figured it may make for a better environment for the seed.

Any pro/cons to doing this... or not doing it?
