My small cultipacker bearing end cap has broken off. I need to get new ones for both sides including whatever parts was inside. any suggestions I am in Western Kentucky
Did the 2 bolt flange pillow block to mine like BC has. The 4 bolt flange ones would be easy to do with some angle iron too. I would drill a little dimple on the shaft where the set screw would land. Give it a better bite that a tiny little dot.
ou could do the old timey thing too. get 2 big pieces of oak. Clamp them together, Drill as close a hole size as you can for the shaft. Then drill a grease fitting hole. Worked fine for years on my cheapie tow behind discs. Just keep em greased. The side acts like a thrust bearing, keeping it moving side to side. Might want to add some washers to meet that face. The grain of the wood will probably work best aiming up and down. Could see maple being ok too.
