Broadleafs in clover

For the past couple years I have sprayed the grasses and let my broadleafs roll in a couple clover plots that are outside some of my bigger plots. It seems to be a decent edge feather/screen, and the deer eventually eat the broadleafs almost to the ground.

Any thoughts on sweetening the deal even further for the feather/screen effect?

are you essentially planning on letting these plots go feral? Semi-feral? Maybe mowed a few times here and there? Maybe some beneficial shrubs or fruit trees?

Base of clover with some random broadleaf presence. May have to mow some to keep broads in check.
