Bought a 1942 Winchester 22 pump rifle

Native Hunter

5 year old buck +
A friend offered to sell me this today. Don't know why because he isn't someone who needs the money. Said his dad bought it new in 1942. I looked up the serial number and that was the year it was made.

I think he just wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it. I will.

A guy can never have too many :D

They just don't make em like that anymore ;)

Cool

Neat old iron! I'm sure it found a great home!

That looks a bit more sturdy then the plastic ones they make today.
Always wanted a model 52 but can't justify the $ they bring.

Very nice. It looks very similar to a pump 22 Remington that my great grandpa gave to me years ago. Your thread made me grab it out of the gun cabinet. I havent held it for years....brought back some memories.

From a man's perspective there are a few things in this world that if you value your life you don't mess with......his guns are one of those!

Nice snag there Native!

that gun was made before the safety of having to release the trigger before you pump. you can hold down the trigger and as fast as you can pump the shells will fire. I have one just like it and it's fun to clear the magazine in less than a second or two. Purely fun!

Nice pick up.
