Bolderton by Landmark Platforms

5 year old buck +
I have a field edge location that has no decent trees for a ladderstand. For years I've been using tripod stands, The first one I had was a Summit . The Summit wasn't very tall , probably only 8- 9 foot I think, but I shot my biggest buck out of it. It lasted a good 15 years before some Joker hit it with a tractor and made it unsafe. I currently have a Muddy Horizon Tripod Deer Stand that's 12 1/2 feet to the shooting rail. I've used it two years and really don't like it. Feels a little flimsy and the shooting rail wont adjust to where I like it.

I'm debating about replacing it with either the 12' Bolderton 2 man quad pod that's 8'6 to the platform , and comes with seats and the camo curtain and ready to go. Or the Bolderton 10' tower , that's probably heavier duty , and 10' to the platform. I'd be leaving it open and just building a shooting rail out of wood 2x4's or 1x2's so it would look something like the 12' stand with the camo curtain pictured. Does anyone here own any Bolderton by Landmark stands , if so how do you like them ? . Screenshot (527).pngScreenshot (526).png

I’m pretty sure I have that 10’ tower that I bought at Menards 7-8 years ago. I modified it to put a Redneck soft side blind and platform on. Solid as a rock. I recently moved the blind off of it, but left the tower there because it is heavy and hard to move. No complaints here.

Looks like they weigh 240 lbs .

I found this Rivers Edge platform for a really good deal and free shipping. It looks Identical to the 12' Bolderton EXCEPT it doesn't come with seats or the blind cover. I may wait for the Bolderton to go on sale or Sportsmans guide to runs a 15% or 20 % off sale. Even with a sale It'll cost a little more but it's ready to go with the exception of a rubber mat for the floor.

Well I just ordered the Bolderton 12' 2 man quad pod. Sportsmans guide has a $75.00 off promo code today and tomorrow for orders over $350 and I joined their "buyers club" for the 3 month trial to get another 10% off. I hope to get few years out of it before relocating it to a different spot and replacing it with a hard side blind like a Sportsmans Condo. I currently have a Muddy Horizon (I think) Archery Tripod stand there , and it's crapola , creaks and real small platform , I don't feel safe in it. AS long as I get it up in the next few weeks it should be okay. The deer are use to tractors and equipment coming and going here when the hay gets cut twice a year.

I don't have the Bolderton tower, but did purchase several Bolderton ladder stands last year. They are study and well build, and we have nothing but good things to say about them. Would definitely recommend the brand.

That should provide some comfortable, elevated shooting, for sure. I have not decided if I am retiring or relocating the tripod this season. My opinion of the tripod is similar to yours—creaks and I don’t feel safe.

It looks to be made identical to the Rivers edge 2 man quad pod. I believe Ardisam is the parent company of around 15 outdoor products brands.
It doesn't make sense , the Bolderton and Rivers Edge are probably made in the same factory. The Bolderton comes with a camo skirt the Rivers Edge doesn't , and Rivers Edge costs a lot more.

Hopefully it's better than the Muddy Horizon Tripod. I was on the fence about buying this Bolderton quad pod , so yesterday climbed up in that 2-3 year old Muddy Tripod to see if I really needed something better. Just like I thought It creaked and the platform is too small at only 36 x 36 inches round vs 57.5x57.5" platform on the Bolderton. I'll post some pictures and do a review after I get it up.

I know I'll probably have to at least get a stall mat for the floor , if it also creaks like the muddy tripod I'll have to put a piece of plywood under the mat.
