Blue Persimmons

Yes, they do exist, although uncommon. My neighbor has a native tree that these came from. Anyone else ever seen others?

Never heard of smurf persimmons

I had never seen any before this. A few years ago there was a nursery that had a blue persimmon cultivar that they sold. The name was simply, “Blue.” I will be top working a couple of native trees to these next spring. I just want them as a conversation piece and to add some diversity. They fall pretty early. He has a lot on the ground already.

I've got a big persimmon tree in the edge of my yard that is dropping lots of persimmons. Last week I had a flock of 27 turkeys under the tree and the feathers were flying, never seen them fight so much.
