I watched the Amish take down the neighbors barn last weekend. Cut beams with chainsaw and little push with high lift and it tumbled. Amish gave them $7grand.
A guy I know is also having his barn taken down......actually about done. Guess it was these guys and he didn't give exact number but got something like $3 grand. Sounds about enough to get all the field stone foundation knocked down and a clay silo very similar to yours buried. He had listed the silo on CL a few times but no takers. Years ago he had someone tell him the silo blocks were worth a little something but at present no takers and will get taken care of with rest of cleanup.
A shame but can't blame him. Not gonna spend all the cash on a new roof and fix a rotting floor in parts with no use for it. Know another fella did do a new barn roof with new tin to the tune of $18,000 bucks.
