Are these fruit trees?

Two of these are behind my compost pile, i have apple and pear seedlings going ,but no leaves match these.

Looks like it could possibly be an apple.

Looks like a native crab apple, malus ioensis / prairie crabapple or maybe malus coronaria / sweet crabapple. I have seen photos of each having leaves like that.

Thanks, and that is interesting, Is it better to dig up and move seedling in the fall, or early spring?

Depends where you are at? Zone 5 and colder wait until the frost goes out of the ground in the spring. Warmer zones fall is fine once the tree goes dormant.
