These are 3 apple trees that i started from seed, 2 are from store apples, and one is from a local wild apple, all three were started in Cowpots. Once danger of frost was over i then planted the cowpots in the ground and tubed the trees, so far so good.

Nice and healthy looking.

They do look nice.

For 3 or 4 years I collected seed from wild crabs and started them.

Also started some from semi domestic apples years ago. My wife's grandmother did it for years.

Very nice. I started a few crabapples from seed. You never know exactly what you'll get starting them from seed, but I figure I can always graft a scion from a know tree to them.

Thanks,

Jack

Thank you, It has been fun, I sprayed them one time early on with Bonide when i noticed bugs eating holes in the leaves, i have done nothing to them since, besides the occasional drink of water, the trees that i have going in pots are bigger but don't look nearly as healthy as these.
