I am pretty sure CrazyEd brought this to our attention a few years back, but it has now come to fruition! I just got my notification flyer in the mail yesterday. The HISTORY of apples in the USA and Canada is now complete, 7 volumes 500-600 pages each, hard covered contains reprints of 1,400 of the USDA's original watercolor pictures from a century ago. Dan is a great guy and a total junky. I've attended his grafting class twice, always a pleasure to chat with him. People were always asking if he was done yet on the book. I have a wedding in Decorah next weekend, maybe I'll find him at seedsavers. I'll be excited to see this book.
