This morning started off stupid when I opened a local news website and found this: https://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/c...cle_aa33b12a-c157-11ef-854c-af69646cea6f.html
More food for dummies. It has been long observed by people who actually produce food and rely on the environment that plants in drought conditions are more nutrient dense. Now they are trying to tie this in with the co2 religion saying that co2 fertilization makes plants less nutritious. The end of the world is near, etc, etc.
The question I ask is why on December 26th, 2024 did they decide to publish an news article about a scientific study done 5 years ago that concluded next to nothing?
If you look at the published study, it actually had some valuable insights, most notably that climate relevant to humans and life occurs on decadal and centennial time scales, and is primarily driven by changes in oscillations, not CO2. The news article does not mention this, it only mentions the co2 religion based beliefs.
Anyhow, there is some much wrong headedness in the article I decided I don't have the energy to ponder it. They are basically trying to take common understanding that diminishes the "climate crisis" narrative and make it back in to something that scares people. Basically, maybe we over estimated the concern, but you need to be afraid, very afraid, because we just don't understand.
