So I love to burn stuff and to shoot off fireworks. I am far from a pro and more of a shade tree shooter but still enjoy it. That may have something to do with my wife and I getting engaged on the 4th of July what will be 34 years ago this year. This year will be my biggest shoot to date and can't wait, but I am already planning for next year. Needless to say, that will be a special shoot. In preparation I cleaned up my small storage building today so I have a place to put my order that I will be picking up in NC in a couple weeks. I will be clearing it entirely for next years prep and shoot.

That said, it never ceases to amaze me the kind of crap one can accumulate that they may never use. On the bright side, I did find two sealed 25# bags of Durana, a sealed 20# bag of medium red clover and and a sealed 15# bag of chicory that I purchased a couple years ago. I will be planting my fall plot with this in October!

I don't know that a shed classifys as a bunker. You might want to check state laws on who you have to notify locally and what permits you have to posses to shoot.It can be a federal crime.I used to have my pyro permit but it was alot cheaper and easier to pay a company to shoot.I have worked a couple major explosions from shells that didn't lift out of tubes.

I'm shooting 1.4G, not 1.3G. In GA, no permits are required to poses or shoot 1.4G and a bunker is not required to store it. I have completed PGI training but have not taken the next step to become certified since I don't see myself ever shooting the really big stuff or making a profession out of it. In addition, we will all be in excess of 100 yards from the shoot zone.

I really enjoy putting on a nice show but ever since covid the price of fireworks went from expensive to flat out ridiculous.

I have switched to buying wholesale to overcome the price increases and am actually getting better quality and more for less than I did back in 2019. All in, I ended up getting everything 52% off this year by getting in on a group buy in NC (with the exception of two new 50 shot mortar racks with HDPE tubes). I could have gotten the discount off the racks with fiberglass tubes, but I prefer the HDPE and still got 26% off on those.

For example in 2019, I got 20 200 gram cakes, 56 (decent) 500 gram cakes and 2 cases of mortars for just under $2K. This year I am getting a case of sky lanterns for the families, a case of rapid fire turrets, 20 350 gram cakes, 81 (great) 500 gram cakes, 2 cases of mortars and two 50 shot racks with HPDE tubes for $600 more and I don't have to pay shipping. My drive back then was 2 hours each way, this year it will be 4 hours each way. Would not have gotten that much if I wouldn't have gotten that extra discount from the group buy.

Im glad they outlawed sky lanterns as they were bad about starting fires way off the road or long ways from where they were lit.On the 3,4,5 inch mortar tubes most of the shooters double sidewalls for extra protection. Good thing we had some shooters lighting 4 inch and one didn't have any lift powder and went off in tube.I had debris over 300 ft away and the shooter dang near lost a leg from a piece of plywood. But these were commercial shells

Good point on the sky lanterns. Once they leave your sight, who know what happens to them. May just hold onto those.
