Another question for the crab growers

For those of you that have older, established crabs on different rootstocks. What is your rootstock preference?

Since crabs seem to grow faster and fruit earlier than regular apple tree varieties have you noticed any real advantage or disadvantage growing crabs on a B118 vs M111 vs ant. rootstock?

Does one rootstock seem to be to vigorous and grow to fast to support itself? Produce crabs in excess before theres enough mass to support the weight? ect ect ......or is there no real big difference ?

I'm really curious about this as well. I was planning to order some on B118 in the coming years. I look forward to seeing what peoples' experiences are with different rootstocks for crabapples.

Entirely speculation on my part.. but since I can not grow tall trees in my climate /soil I am thinking crab apple rootstock might be the best choice.
I have heard that Bailey's uses dolgo and columbia rootstock. Bailey's is a supplier to large parts of Mn and Wis.

I do have some Anty and B118's in the ground.
