Very cool. I sent Ryan scions from a wild crab on my home property that he was interested in last year. Excited to see how they do for him and if they will make his website eventually.

Pretty interesting

The sad reality is, pure Americans have no blight tolerance. I'm curious if this is indeed an American. Pictures of nuts, burs and leaves would help. If this tree is producing nuts, there must be other chestnuts near by. I've grown pure Americans, and they are in a loop of growing big enough to flower and then die back from blight.
