Adirondack Crab

A pic of my Adirondack Crab today on Antonovka rootstock planted in 2004. It's stayed a small tree and is a reliable producer of small crabs.

I grafted a couple last year from you as the scion source I am quite sure. Both the trees were slow growers last summer, they might be 18" tall at the most but they were absolutely loaded with flowers this year.

Wow 13 yr old antonovka at that small of caliper? Thats certainly unexpected. Not a knock on you gp this is all still a learning curve for me.

Rick I'm still hoping you'll clarify this, this variety is easily the worst growing graft I have, its way slow. I'm curious if you meant 2004 or maybe 2014? My curiosity sparks from its slow growth for me.

It was planted in 2004. Yes it's a slow grower but really puts out the blooms. It's really hard to get scion from because it only puts out 3 or 4 inches of new growth each year.

Thanks Rick!
