A Pleasant Surprise

H20fwler

5 year old buck +
Had all last week off for our deer gun season. Came out of the stand for lunch last Wednesday and these were waiting at home on the porch for me.

So I swapped my rifle for a shovel and planted the last of my fall apples/pears, gave up an afternoon of hunting for hopefully better deer hunting in the future with the habitat improvements.

Put in;

2 Arkansas Black
2 Granny Smith
2 Chestnut crabs
1 Royal Limbertwig
1 Gibson Golden

2 Becton pear
2 Gate pear
1 Gilmer Christmas pear
1 Ms Laneene pear

Along with what I had out already I hopefully should have apples/pears dropping from late August through early January some day.

Can't say enough about how pleased I am with the quality of the trees and how nice the folks were at Stark and Wildlife Group.

I think I'm finally putting the shovel away for a few months!

I have 3 pears and 2 crabs in the ground from the Wildlife group. They've done outstanding (for the 1.5yrs I've had them)!
