8n Ford vs MFR

MA VT Flatlander

5 year old buck +
Trying to push back the multiflora rose and reclaim part of this old field. Thinking about planting rye and oats here in a few weeks I hope.8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 001.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 002.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 003.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 004.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 005.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 006.JPG 8n Ford vs MFR 2014-06-22 007.JPG

Quite a loader on that Ford. Funny how they built those pipe loaders in those days. ....and those huge buckets!! Memory lane. :)

Have a soft spot for old Fords. I was lucky enough to buy my father-in-laws Fords when he past away. A 861 with live power takeoff and a 641 with the Sherman 12 speed transmission. That's a nice set of chains on the old girl, but with that bucket she must steer a little hard. When I complain about the lack of power steering on the old Fords, my wife reminds me that her dad farmed with them up into his early 80's :oops:.
