My dad and I had a successful bow season. He got his Halloween and I got mine Sunday morning.

Did you have any luck this year? We had a really nice one on camera at our Juneau Co place. I actually saw it while duck hunting on opening day. Only about 20 yards away. Wish I had the bow with at the time.

I haven't had the time to hunt this year. Local doe population seemed good all summer but cameras have been eerily quiet for over a month now. I don't know why but bucks have been scarce all year.

I've only got two cameras out up there but they have been slow. Neither of us bow hunted the Juneau Co place. Steady stream of deer in the hills, just not many of the top end bucks this year. Good luck this weekend if you're coming up for gun season!

It should be a fun season. We have a new hunter in camp this year so he has green light for whatever he chooses. I'll be letting anything without antlers walk until he gets one, at least for opening day

I’m hoping to get my nephew into it next year. He’s 9. He did sit with me Saturday night while bow hunting. We sat in a box blind so I didn’t expect anything to happen but we did see 4 so that kept him entertained. He wanted me to shoot the half rack that came out. I said I’d save it for him for next year.
