Not sure this is this year as our buck season has not started yet in PA. I know there was a special doe season that started this past weekend but i have not heard about a buck season thats open.

I stand corrected there are three counties that opened for Antlered deer on the 15th of September. This Buck was more than likely taken in Allegheny County.

Hmmm interesting.... I saw it on a Facebook hunting page. All they said was, " a Pennsylvania buck, shot yesterday". I'll see if I can find out more.

I stand corrected there are three counties that opened for Antlered deer on the 15th of September. This Buck was more than likely taken in Allegheny County.

You are correct. No buck season, for any weapon, area, or user group, has opened in Pa as of yet. CORRECTION>>> there are 3 units that the archery season for bucks opened on 9/17. That early season in those zones used to be doe only...not sure when that changed. Sorry for the bad info on my original post.
I remember a photo of a "Pa buck taken near the Pgh airport" that went around the internet several years ago. Then that same photo showed-up as a Kansas buck...then another state, and then another.
And how often are bucks that were taken behind high fences are presented as fair-chase kills?

I just googled his name with the words whitetail hunting, and yes, he has a facebook page called "Hit squad Outdoors with Tim Sylvia"..... and on that page it shows him with that buck, so yes it is him, I didn't realize he's into hunting the way he is....
