Looking for some help on plants. These pics were taken in my gravel pit.

#1 - 2 pictures It is a skinny, tube-like, plant. Looks like some sort of water plant? First pic is smaller ones while second pic looks like more mature ones.

#2 - Tall narrow plant with yellow flowers. Both pictures have poor focus.

First one looks like Horsetail Rush, the second escapes me at the moment.

Thanks, I was thinking it reminded me of bulrushes but it was obviously something else. The odd thing was that the first picture was up the side of a gravel pile 6+ feet off the ground. But I guess there was enough rain this spring to get some spores or rhizomes that were in the gravel to grow.

Here is a link to the horsetail rush:

Looks like it could also be this smooth scouring rush.

I could save a few buck on sponges by using these for cleaning dishes :D

On the second one I would say Common Evening Primrose, or something close to that.

Maybe some type of penstemon on the 2nd plant.

Thanks guys! I think that the Common Evening Primrose looks most likely for the second. There were a ton of them around the pit and they all had the yellow flowers that were closed up. They look a bit different than the penstemon when I look that up.
