1960's John Deere 4020 question

Here's a picture of the front end of a 4020 (not mine, stole it off the web):

4020.jpg

I own one much like it... And I've been wondering, what are the upper bolts on the front end for?

I searched google images, I couldn't find anything that used them?

The 2 lower bolts are used for a front weight bar, but nothing seems to use the upper ones?

Anyone know what they are for?

Thanks,

-John

Thanks MoLandOwner... That makes sense.

At first it seemed to have something to do with the weight bar - as they seem fairly substantial.

But all of the online pictures of weight bars only used the 2 lower holes.

Mystery solved.

Thanks!
