    How to hunt after logging

Don't ever post here as I don't do much habitat or land work but whenever I do I have looked up and found informative threads on here. My neighbor is currently logging around 100 acres next door to where I hunt. He has allowed me to hunt his land in past and don't see why it would be different...

    First deer ever

Don't post on here much due to not knowing much or being as involved as most of you in habitat improvement. Not that I don't want to just don't have the land or time it seems but thought I would post this. Thought it might get you guys excited knowing its almost time. Our state has an...

    2010 - 2011 - 2012 - 2013

Congrats on harvesting him. Beautiful buck. I had a buck I got a picture of with my first camera ever, first pull. This was post season(camera was Christmas gift)2011, which was my first season ever hunting. Became obsessed with bow hunting then on. Hunted him with quite a few pictures and...

How did your area deer make it thru the winter?

Fairly low deer density in my area compared to most of you guys. I only hunt a small 60 acre tract of land. Normally in Spring once snow melts I get a few out browsing the pasture but didn't see any all of March and April. Got me kind of worried plus had 3 deer hit and killed by vehicles in...

Nice pics. Just put mine out yesterday. Have never had patience to give them a good set. Going to try my hardest to give them a good week plus this year.

    Trail Cams died

New to camming couple years ago. Have had one Moultrie eats c batteries like crazy. One Primos truth cam 35 good camera, little big to lug around. I then found covert tried two CA4s which had a remote, and both died after year or so. I thought I would give the Covert MP6 a try which I love...

Rain Gear Tuff Enough for the Farm

I wear grundens on the boat. Many different types of bibs and jackets. The thicker more waterproof are a little bulkier and harder to move around but keeps you much drier and can still work in it. Lightweight options are much easier to move around in but will get wet in a steady rain.

    Who are you?

Name is Joe. Live on coast of Maine. Small lobstering community. Only job I ever had pretty much is on the stern of a boat. Did not get into hunting as a child. Just picked it up 2 years ago. I'm 34 now. Have not harvested a deer yet. Can only hunt with a bow due to dumb decisions as a...

What did you kill your first deer with for a weapon?

Will humbly say I have yet to harvest a deer. I'm 34 and just started hunting for first time 2 years ago. Couple times out with father as kid and just wasn't into it. Now I am full on obsessed. So the thing is no background and I only hunt with a bow. Kind of thrown to the wolves but I enjoy...

    Newbie just sayng hi

First time on forum was on it for a minute before it switched and just signed back up. On one other hunting forum and poked around a little on "other" forum. Live on coast of Maine and just began hunting and becoming interested in habitat a couple years ago. Live on around 60 acres of mostly...
