    Ahhhh cereal rye

Love how the spring rye field looks. They just look beautiful. 6 The last couple years I have just let it go until September & replanted the same mix. Thinking about crimping & a summer plot. Thoughts??

    Something new in my plot

Got this plant growing everywhere in my plots. I have never seen this before. Zone 6a I’m guessing some kind of weed.

    Rain

I went ahead and planted my 3 & 2 ac plots Tuesday. Hopefully Francis makes it to southern Indiana, Ohio river valley area. Started out as 1.5 - 2” of rain over 3 days. Now 3/4” for tomorrow only. You can do everything right but you still always need Mother Nature’s help.

    Ohio Drought

SW Indiana isn’t much better right now. I sprayed my 3 & 2 acres plots two weeks ago hoping to get things going a little earlier. Hasn’t rained in 12 days & no rain is forecast for the next two weeks. I’ve got all my seed sitting here in my garage ready to go. Need a rain dance.

I’d like keep in the 50-75 hp range but maybe with a cab. What I really want to know is what would be a good cutoff year to stay...

    Chiggers and Ticks

I had a Lonestar tick removed from my back by my Dr. last week. It had already turned red & a raised hive area the size of a nickel in less than 48hrs. On a 10 day treatment of antibiotics now. I guess the bad thing with these little bastards is you could end up being allergic to red meat. Among...

I just want to make sure. Throw & Mow. Are we seeding then mowing or vise versa? I keep seeing both ways.
