    Seeking input on several clovers

For reds I like Freedom MR White I like Alice Annual I like frosty berseem I’m also trying crimson for the first time and hoping I can get blanda to take this fall as well. I tried frost seeding it a couple of years ago but it was mostly a flop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got my last two plots in this week and caught a couple of good showers. Only thing I have left now is overseeding a few plots with cereals. Probably do that the last week or so in September. Will depend on the forecast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Seeking input on several clovers

Biannual sounds about right from my experience. I want to plant a pure stand of it sometime to see if it lasts any longer than in a mix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cutting clover?

Not sure If i'm the only one but grasses are NEVER a problem for me in any of my plots.

How many pounds of brassica seed?

If available I would use AMS and not urea. Urea is a little hard on soil and soil can usually use more sulfur.

How many pounds of brassica seed?

I go about 3-4#/acre but I also mix mine with berseem clover and winter peas @10 and 50#/acre. Then in mid to late September I broadcast about 110#/acre of winter triticale. I want to make sure I have plenty of room for other stuff to grow. I have found over the last couple of years I get...

    Cutting clover?

The money part doesn't bother me. With the about 2 acres of plots that we have I spend well under $500 per year. I'm looking into upping my soil amendment game to see if i cant get a little better attraction out of them. In a rich Ag area there isn't any shortage of food so the soil may have...

Turns out that it isn't going to be to bad to amend the soil. They gave me the recomendation of 8000#/acre to get to about a 6.0 PH The plot is only about a 1/4 acre so 1 Ton of ag lime. The quarry that the best AG lime in our area come from is only about a half hr away. In about 20 days the...

Picked up 500# of lime today. Probably do that once a month over the next couple of months. Depending on their application rate I’ll more than likely take my dump trailer to the quarry to get a few tons later this fall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

May as well be. Waste product from a turkey processing plant from 30+ years ago mixed with midwestern topsoil.

Got the results back for the soil test. Any recommendations on how to amend if a clover/chicory plot is going to grow decent next year? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
