Whats causing this? Is it from too much water? Its happening on kinnards choice and gold rush. Was happy to see a few apples this year and now losing them!
Im in zone 8 also but my apples arent producing yet. I do have dozier crabs producing about 3" apples. They do well here. As far as apples go i have Yates, kinnards choice, shockley, terry winter, black limbertwig, royal limbertwig, and arkansas black.

I left a couple pears on my MS Laneenes and Gates this past year to see when theyd drop. They were still on the trees first week of November and then squirrels got them. Im in zone 8 so id think yours would hang later than mine.
