Well leaking what is this? Found on my new property.

How close is it to a house or cabin? While the water coming out looks clean, and the vertical orientation would be unusual, a back woods southern Illinois property I purchased in 1994 had an open sewer pipe running from the house to a nearby creek (yuck). Always assumed that house was on...

    What’s in Seattle ?

In the early 2000's, we enjoyed visiting both Seattle and Portland. We loved the food and the quirky artistic nature relative to our mid-west norm. But we swore them both off after several visits in the 2010's had us stepping over used syringes and human feces on the downtown sidewalks, and we...

    Pex pipe predicament.

We tried a few under counter leak detectors, but did not like keeping up with batteries and how many were necessary for every sink, water heater, dish washer, washing machine, etc. so we went the whole house route. This Flo by Moen smart water valve learns how you use water and alerts you to...

    Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

I’ve learned that trick as well. But if you then mark one as a favorite, the arrow button quits working. However, if you then click in the middle of the picture somewhere you will regain the arrow function. It would be nice if camp did not change the focus of the cursor when you marked a favorite.

    Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

While I do like that the PC interface now matches the iPad interface, I do miss the categories and being able to filter on them. Is that anything that might come back to both in the future? I had so many besides just marking Bucks. Coyote, Bobcat, Trespassers, etc. Would really appreciate...

Oh, so discounts for specific items, not across the board?

    Sitka 40% Off Code

I've looked back on this thread and cannot find the discount codes you guys are discussing. Do you mind sharing? I'm looking at placing a decent order with them anyway. Thanks, Steve.

    GuardePro Long Range Wifi?

I'm not familiar with that particular camera, but have had reasonable service with ReoLink WiFi/Solar cameras. Battery life is unlimited if you have any sunshine at all. I honestly believe most WiFi cameras will have similar range, and to get real long range you need a capable Access Point...

Mine look like that on foggy nights. Any chance that was the issue?

    Blind chair

Since this thread was resurrected from my reply in 2021, here is an update. We have a few new redneck blinds and I wanted to try something on wheels, so we ordered this el-cheapo-deluxe office chair from Amazon. While they can be a little difficult to assemble, once together they are not a bad...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

And as cameras ages the fresnel lens turns white and may not perform optimally. Replacement lens can be purchased for $2 each. https://www.cuddeback.com/products/parts

    Trailcam pics

I have 48 Cuddelink cameras on about 700 acres in western Kentucky. No matter how hard I've tried to pattern deer over the last 22 years, things REALLY change this time of year. Cameras that have pictured deer all year can go dormant, and cameras that have not taken many pictures all year are...

    Coyote Problem

The WiFi access point is a $199 Ubiquiti Unifi U7 Outdoor. I don't believe you will find an access point with longer range than this one. It does tons better than my old Bullet access points with directional Yagi antenna. The original need for long range WiFi was for a MyQ gate operator about...

    Coyote Problem

We have WiFi beamed to several spots around the Western Kentucky cabin and use a $80 solar Reolink camera that can distinguish between people, vehicles, and animals. It is set to alert my phone when animals are on the 100 yard gut pile. Coyotes and raccoons are the focus. Since doing so...
