    Tristar Shotgun?

I had a semi auto 12, think it was turkish made, handled awful and the end of the magazine tube cracked (despite appropriate use). Not a good gun but also that was right around 2000. Most guns have improved and its amazing at what can be had now a days.

    Tristar Shotgun?

I shot sporting clays for years with a couple different ones, and if i still hunted grouse had a trusty Ruger Red Label. If lead wasnt a factor it would be my go to for puddle ducks. I just about scored/shot as well with a 28 as i did a 12

    Tristar Shotgun?

Older gens of TriStars were meh. Newer stuff seems to get much better reviews. Id take a 28 over a 20 for anything but waterfowl......own a few of each and they just pattern well and hit every bit as hard. Many have wrote about the 28ga phenom. Also own some obsolete Berettas. It makes me mad...

Do you remember it being colder

wNY has felt like winter since the start of November.....and most of October was chilly too. We have been pounded with (lake effect) snow, wicked winds and colder than average temps without the reprieves we used to get. The coyotes have hammered the game too- deep snow with a hearty ice crust is...

CWD conversations that are worth the time to watch

I remember when the NDA first came out and someone said something to the effect of "this isnt anything like the qdma....its a the private side public outreach of game agencies...". Made zero sense at the time. Total fact. I got into it with one of their most famous biologists after publicly...

CWD conversations that are worth the time to watch

Perhaps my aging eyes missed it- Does anyone on here live in an area where CWD itself has affected the population in a way you could describe? Legit ask- not baited

    Heat check…land prices

So ive really been into OH, IL and KS lately. Here are some random recent shares seOH values (4-5k) havent even blipped despite the crazy 60-80% ehd kill off. Noting more and more fresh turn key approaches in central and NE portions of the state (box, water hole, logged, clearing gone plot) for...

Does anyone have experience with a solar well?

Blocking a creek and the soil cohesion/resistance to erosion....they also pushed me toward a well after the "can do anything youre willing to pay for" kind of statements

    AI in your world

I am amidst a employer change but will say this revealing some things most people dont know..... AI is bad news. AI is already running aspects of the utility grid. Yes- think about that. Foreign made tech and programming too. Rapture, revelations, idk.....but for forum that talks about the...

Does anyone have experience with a solar well?

Well.....this is grazing country, without a ton of available water in general and very much so on this place. Things pretty wide open grasslands with some shallow ponds that may have water a portion of the year. Adding water here is the number one habitat improvement- and supposedly is...

Does anyone have experience with a solar well?

I think I am going to have a well drilled (50-75ft of casing) in an area that needs a watersource due to pretty limited rainfall. I am not sure how well a pond would work and the quotes/comments from local equipment operators have not been positive. T he thought would be to have a water tub and...
