No problem at all spraying and then planting immediately or even planting and then spraying. Depending on your situation it may be better to wait and let your thatch/turf or whatever you are playing into completely “brown out”. You may get better stands that way.

I don’t think you can expect and dramatic changes in your population by planting trees/shrubs and like Swampcat says a lot depends on your deer density to start with. I haven’t added it up by I’m sure I’ve planted several thousand trees of various types and my fruit trees are producing enormous...
I have the Echo 2511T also and can’t say enough good things about it. Extremely light weight and plenty of power. A great little limbing saw!

I have found that chufa likes
To be planted deep. If you’re not seeing much on top of the ground after using a chain harrow I suspect the coons and squirrels may have already feasted on your chufa. It doesn’t take long for it to sprout after a rain.

I agree…I feel like tight wrapping (real tight with electrical tape) helps my “not so precise” cuts mesh together and thereby making a more successful graft Union.

Keener Seedling still holding and dropping slowly in North MS. This is probably my best apple for my area. Disease free, annual producer and late dropping. Good fruit integrity after several freezes also.

I’m in Zone 7 also (North MS) and my NW crabapple trees have been disappointing. They produce a lot of small apples but they don’t drop. My trees have been in the ground 5 years.

Really looks nice Sandbur! After producing fruit for the fist time last season, my Buckman didn’t fruit this year. Is Buckman an annual producer for you?
