Do landowners find any dead bucks from CWD on their farms after the season ? While shed hunting etc… ? Seems like high percentage?

That is nice stuff. I’ve got one area like that on my farm & it hold bucks every year !

I was hunting west of Morris in MN. Closer to Herman on Saturday. There were birds in many fields . Unfortunately this is a bad start to the year ! I was waist deep in snow in some of the cattails already ☹️ Now a big wind storm is coming. Not good !

I love shooting that gun. I’ll use it in Minnesota if rifle passes in my county ? Which is still up in the air ?

The worst one I have ever seen was a property near Indianola, Iowa that I owned . The neighbor had a stand in the tree on the fence line. The tree was actually a bit crooked & leaned my way…So when he hunted he was in my airspace ! I only saw him hunt it once . Some guys 😞

I ordered 50 Laurel Willow to add to my food plot screen so my neighbor can’t see what’s out there . The NDSU variety has great survival. I’m excited to see the growth ? I’m in West Central MN .

I still have my tags but I shot a buck in Missouri…not real motivated to get another buck . Nothing very old — would still like to get a doe . Waiting for the right wind . It’s cold ! I sat tonight in a different farm . Saw 4. Froze my butt off on way in . I’ve got a friend who wants a doe...

I bought a Rivers Edge Bowman 20 footer yesterday at Menards … around $160 They had some pretty good deals .

Another option .. acorns/seed, & a mix of plugs ! It takes about a 1/2 day to plant 400-500 plugs with 2 guys ! Make it a multi-year project? Cage or tube some to see the contrast in growth ?

I’m fortunate to have good neighbors on most of my edges, except one in Minnesota. They sit 5 yds from my line. Seem to be there all the time . The plan for 2026 is a jungle of habitat (hinge cuts) by the stand. That way they cannot shoot into mine … & any deer bedded there will jump up & head...

I always plant around 200 Bur Oak acorns each year on one farm in Minnesota. I’d guess I get less than 20% survival, but the seed is free from my yard .. so anything that survives is a plus . A combination of oak/walnut/cherry/hackberry would be cool… but whatever mix you have—good luck...
