If the clover & chicory is lush from rain, a small percentage of grasses will not hurt the attractiveness in my opinion! Deer will feed on all of it. We mowed a CRP field late, there was a lot of rain shortly after. There were 20-25 deer eating each night in that lush grass .

I can’t explain that , but we mow about 4-7 days before bow opener … if it’s warm and lush . The deer always go to the mowed area right in front of our stands! Works very well for an early season doe, I’ve only shot one buck on opening weekend in Minnesota! Passed quite a few .

That’s different than what I see here in Minnesota. We cut clover &/or alfalfa & the deer are in there right away .

UAN has been kind to me . Up in the mid $90 now. Pays a variable dividend every quarter based on profits . This one coming up is $3.89 per share . Total dividend return should be 14-15% this year as fertilizer prices are up ! You can get the $3.89 if you buy before August 11. *In April UAN...
