CP42 Pollinator mix Drill settings by chance?

I think a pollinator mix is something you would normally want to go through the "native seed box" and not the large box. Glad it worked out for you, maybe the rice hulls helped? Hope everything comes up with the timely rain!

So What Happened to Ne Neighbor Thread?

After catching up yesterday afternoon I saw it was gone last night, I assumed the same. Probably for the best, was just a endless circle jerk the last four pages.

    Fire and conifers

The only reasonable way would be to mow/disc/till fire breaks around the trees before running fire through. I think that's possible depending on scale and if you only manage with fire every few years, I'd say it's probable.

What Are You Planting This Spring?

In this area it was pretty aggressive and it is a south facing slope so it will see a bunch of sun. Also, adjacent to this harvest is a bunch of 8-12" ash trees which will be dead in a few years from the Emerald ash borer so that will help with canopy reduction as well.

Bedding cuts in the hills, what works best?

Aerial photos would be helpful. What is the elevation change on your property? Do you own the hilltop and valley? Micro plots are good, but I wouldn't mix them with water. Put water between bedding and destination food in a location that hunts good for you. Do you have a plan to protect...

    Norway Spruce Screen Decisions

The nursery I bought my norways from recommended 10-10-10 every spring and fall, fwiw.

    manure/litter fertilizing plots

It's just a food plot, not your livelihood. Anything is better than nothing! I'd try to get soil samples before and after to see how much it positively affected the soil and you will know that much more for if you do it again.

    Short season

I just use my whitetail broadheads, a rage expandable. My buddy was shooting a fixed blade. I aim slightly lower than center mass, but my bird was crippled and had to put another arrow in it. My buddy's died in the decoys. Both shots were nearly identical location, might have to switch to fix...

    Short season

A friend and I always do the MN turkey season with archery tackle but we've never doubled up less than an hour into our first hunt before. Pretty special morning for us, lots of laughs and memories made.

Hunting / recreation and timberland values in your location?

I get those offers too, not from Land Swan but others.. I look at it like the robo calls - not sure who would fall for it, but it must be effective or they wouldn't do it?!?

attracting turkeys / creating strut zones

Overseed clover with rye in the fall and the turkeys will be there, at least in my experience. I agree with burning your tall grass CRP as well, they definitely love the tender, new growth in these areas.

Been a hard few days at my house.

We have two cats that are inside/outside and I don't really care for them too much but the one (who acts more like a dog) is just like the cat you describe, almost identical. He is starting to get me to come around on my feelings towards him and I'm afraid he won't come home one night.

Been a hard few days at my house.

Can you trap in town or hit them with the coke/fly bait action (beware of neighborhood dogs)?
