    What Tree Shelters?

I have used the tubes on about 20 trees and had great success. I have also used the window screen and 5 ft welder wire fence on about 80 trees and had great success. I don’t think you can go wrongoin either one if you pick the correct location. That’s more important than the tube / fence.

    New way of fixing B118

I too am done with Bud 118 for reasons stated above. I’ve had some blow even due to heavy winds one year, too. I now in the last two years have bought 40 trees from BlueHills which use Dolgo. Let’s hope these are as good as they sound.

Advice for a no till drill

My buddy is looking for a nice no till drill. His main purpose for it is food plots yearly. Can anyone give good advice on a nice one that would compliment his tractor. His tractor is a Kioti 36HP with 4 WD. It was a 3 point hitch. Any input would be appreciated. Thx, Bob

Pre-Emergent Herbicide prior to June Buckwheat

I have planted BW many times and never needed a pre. It grows fast and shades out a lot of weeds. I would also soil test if you havent to get your P and K levels adequate for the brassicas. You will also need a good dose of Urea when planting the brassicas. One thing I would make sure of is that...

    Black Cherry: Need caging?

I wouldn’t plant them unless you’re gona protect them. Your trying to save money by not protecting them ,but in reality your lighting money on fire.

    Opinions on clover.

Clover is always good to have along with other plants . It’s very easy to maintain , easy to plant and deer love it. It’s another thing in the buffet . It’s best to have a variety of plants to chose from instead of one . I don’t think clover is as appealing as alfalfa or soybeans , but I also...

    Clover for wet soil

I’ve had a plot that didn’t drain well before and used Imperial clover by Whitetail Institute. It held up well. According to Google, it appears as tho Aslike is one of the top clovers for poorly drained soils. I would like to do a mix if 3/4 perennial clovers in this 3/4 acre plot next year. I’m...

    Browse impact on Radish tubers

I don’t know where you are located but I planted about 5 acres of turnips and GHFR as well. I’m located in Connecticut . I’ve always had softball size turnips and very good size radish except this year. We did have a 5 day heat waved here in Ct about a week after my planting. I researched it and...
