Apple Drop Time/ Ripening Notes from 2019

I tend to agree with PoorSand but would state it another way based on my unscientific observations. Droughty autumns seem to cause early drops while normal to lots of soil moisture in the fall gives about the same effect of "normal" drop times for a particular tree. Late drops seem to be lining up with very late spring bloom times when looking over the last 15 or so years. That includes years 2013, 2018, and 2019. Now will admit that 2019 was also the wettest fall I have seen around here over many decades. So maybe the late drop results get muddied a little with a couple factors.
