Willow tree with orange branches

I just got back from the Black Hills and saw a ton of willow trees growing along the rivers and streams with orange branches. Anyone know what species it would be? Thanks.

Wish I would have taken some pictures, the orange branches appeared to be newer growth and they pointed straight up.
