Will Spring Come Early?

The weather is really looking to take a bite outta winter the next ten days. Is it too bold to udder the words "early spring" yet? I can't really plant trees any earlier than April 25th. I'm glad I bought plugs, but i'm starting to worry about a bad year due to dry conditions and competing veg getting a head start on what i'm planting.

On the plus side, this might add a few weeks to the growing season and open a window for a good chance at green up and burn down and still get longer maturity warm soil plots in. I was worried about getting pumpkings to maturity if I can grow and protect them.

Anyone else pondering moving up their tree planting dates?

Need the frost out of the ground first, and that'll take some time yet.

Enjoy the weather, but don't plan off the long term models as they're all too often wrong.

In 2 weeks we have 3 days of 30s and 2 possible nights in the teens (like 18) but other than that its 40s during the day and 20s at night for the foreseeable future.
