What to plant after or into corn crop?

Best mix to plant into corn crop after it’s been left standing or picked and then bush hogged in Eastern NC? Maybe a mix that will add some nitrogen back to the soil after terminated for planting corn agin. Thanks

Red clover would be a good choice.
