seed bank

saw that the "seed bank" for lack of the proper term was in the news again- various places that store literally 10's of thousands of seeds for safe keeping in the event of a catastrophic world event. when the world is ready to be replanted the bank will open or so it seems.
My question is- many of you are much higher up the knowledge and professional stature ladder than most of us- have any of you donated seeds to this endeavor? or know folks that have? wonder what fruit tree seeds are represented. Just thinking out loud.

A number of us have gotten materials from the USDA GRIN. That is a series of genetic banks for various crops. These preserve and provide access to a range of genetic diversity. Apples, pears, grapes, fruits, vegetables, grains, field crops, ornamental shrubs. They can supply plants, cuttings, or seeds.

I know the USDA is storing apple buds at very low temp for long term storage as a backup to their orchard trees.
