rotary hoe for throw and mow/roll ?

I have a chance to get an old 5' rotary hoe cheap. It needs some work though. I'm thinking going over a seeding with the hoe may help get some seed to soil contact. Has anyone tried this? Any thoughts on how it might work? Would it trash up too much maybe? If it doesn't work well I don't want to mess with fixing it up.

I think it would work well IF the biomass you have isn’t to tall/thick and tangles up in the hoe.

Yeah, probably need to burn it down first with gly to make it work I'm thinking.
