Plot updates

I drilled in oats and peas in mid august and since have broadcast another 400 pounds of winter rye on top. I have around 3.5 acres of this. Not seeing a ton of utilization but tracks everywhere and they seem to have stopped eating my wife’s pumpkins! She is so mad she is about to start hunting with me lol.

Looks great! It's my first year for oats and peas. The turkeys are crushing them, but the deer aren't using mine much either. I suspect that will change soon though. I bet your deer will be in there thick as fleas soon

You know the turkeys are really using mine as well. My three little girls ran all over the plot picking up feathers saturday they had about 10 each.

It can be really difficult to know how much certain types of plants are being browsed unless you have an exclusion cage in place. You might be surprised how much deer are already hitting it.
