Nothing to lose sleep over, and honestly for some reason I have planted both together in a pinch and for some reason deer prefer the plots with ryegrass and winter rye in the same plot vs. straight winter rye. I mean don't get me wrong, winter rye has better management properties And for some ryegrass can be invasive. Deer do eat it though and cleth would take care of it in the spring if needed.
