My first try at bud grafting.

The bark is slipping, i dont know why i was so leary about trying this, i found it so much easier to do than whip and tongue or even cleft grafting. I bud grafted 6 seedling rootstocks with goldrush buds, and probably 6 wild pear rootstocks with kor giant buds, this will probably be my new method if most of them take.

So does the piece with the bud on it go between the wood and the cambium, or between the cambium and the bark?

Between the wood and cambium. Cambium stays on the bark as you peel the bark back if the bark is "slipping"
