Curious about this---will be trying some switch and millet came to mind but if it's a bad combo I'd look at some other options.
Has anyone tried planting millet with switchgrass

Ive got it planted. I frost seeded switch last february. Then it flooded in May so I had bare mudflats. I spread jap millet on it late July.
The problem I see is you really need to mow new switch plantings to keep weed competition down. Planting millet, especially as heavy as my millet came in will likely be counterproductive.

Thanks for the reply. I think maybe i'll try to figure out another option that has proven to work. Would still like to have a planting with some millet but sounds like I'd be better off not mixing the two.
