Ground cover weed in my clover

Can anyone help me identify this weed? It is spreading out of control in the clover plot behind my house. Almost seems to be some type of ground cover

Looks like creeping charlie. I have it in my yard. The root system seems similar to clover. I sprayed it with gly where it got into a flower bed and it killed it but it didn't kill what was still in the grass. It must not all be connected.
