Frozen bench grafts

So I bench grafted 150 trees about 2 weeks ago. Put in Rubbermaid tub with damp potting soil and perlite. I had a extra tub worth of the mix for when my next batch of rootstock showed up. Anyways I thought I put the tub with trees in my basement, went to check them this morning and realized I put wrong tub in basement, the trees have been in a tub on my porch for last 2 weeks. Completely covered in the damp soil which is now froze. What are the odds they'll survive? It's a covered porch so at least the tub wasn't being warmed everyday

I wouldnt write them off. I have had both scion and root stocks freeze in a refrigerator that got too cold. They lived. Not saying I would recommend that approach, but it doesnt necessarily mean you lost them all.

My bet is they are fine. Drying out of rootstocks or scions is what kills them, either by dehydration or by budding/leafing out with no way for roots to make up lost water.
