Foggy's recent post about the 'Red Barn Orchard' got me thinking about all of us visiting various 'apple places' this Fall and how cool it would be if I could come along with you.
How about we all take pictures of our trips as the next best thing!
I follow the UMass Cold Orchard on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/UMASS-Cold-Spring-Orchard/192589037457352) and saw their announcement that this weekend they'd have some early apples that I'd like to try (perhaps I'll update this thread with some thoughts on Ginger Gold, Akane, Sansa, and Zestar!).
Maya had directed us to the UMass Cold Orchard Website (http://www.coldspringorchard.com) some time ago and specifically to Jon Clements' Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/jmcext/videos) where, among others, he's got a good video on central leader pruning:
Be sure to take your camera with you this Fall for your 'apple trips'.
