Battery Question

I have a 24 volt trolling motor system. In it I have 2 AGM batteries. One is dead.

Going to fish a small lake on Saturday and only need trolling power. Can I take my regular starting battery and hook it up with the one good AGM and run my troller on that. I will not need to charge either battery.

Of course. The starting battery will not last as long as the deep cycle would have but it will still give you the voltage needed.

Don't go the other way though. Never use a deep cycle to start your car. It can blow up. A friend pulled one of my deep cycles off my bass boat because his was dead and his charger wouldn't work. He set everything under his hood on fire in about 10 seconds.
