Advice, opinions

That looks terrific! It looks like everything made it, and it looks like your packer got the clover zapped too. You have some bonus ragweed. I like ragweed, so color me jealous. I planted two pounds of it last year, and I haven't found any come up yet.

Game changer there fella, nicely done!

I have a 4 acre field of Bermuda that I burned and will be using as a food plot. As Bermuda was greening up, I doused it with gly. TONS of ragweed coming through it as well. I couldn't stand to look out the tractor window to see how much I was killing!

Give that another ten days and it'll canopy shut nicely.

You're not making it die, just mowing it before the seed matures when it doesn't have time to go back to see. A single mowing at the right time will do this. However, there is a lot of benefit in a volunteer component being added to the fall mix.
I agree with you Jack. I am a big grant woods fan. However, he is always talking about the disadvantages of a volunteer eye crop. Has always felt like he was saying “terminate it so you will have to buy a full amount of new seed in the fall.”

Ragweed and Pokeweed are a favorite at my place! Plot looks great!

Check on my plots today.View attachment 44085View attachment 44086View attachment 44087
This is 4 weeks after planting into standing rye & clover, then cullipacked.
I’ve got to do some research to identify my plants.View attachment 44088View attachment 44089View attachment 44090View attachment 44091

I know I’ve got some weeds in there, still pretty happy with it. Probably should of gone heavier on the seeding rate.
How's that plot coming along @Snoop

Here are some picks from yesterday. This is Green Covers summer blend.
I’m not sure if everything made it from the planting. Like I said I’ve got lots of learning to do.
Not exactly sure what I’m going to do with this in the next couple weeks.
