4' Welded Wire Fence Deal

That’s a good deal !

Tractor supply and mills fleet farm here in MN still have 4' for $109 per roll. MN just sucks at everything. I might call tractor supply tomorrow and see if they will price match Blain's on this deal and pick up a few more rolls.

damn I could have used this a while back haha

Farm and Fleet has a deal on 4' welded wire fence. Buy 2 get one free. Cost each for 100' roll was $66.
Where did you see that deal? I can't find it on the flyer or their website.

I'm guessing the deal is over. The website used to show the deal:

And now it doesn't.

Baraboo was sold out when we went to buy but allowed us a rain check.

eh just a few weeks. There was a chance, but yeah it seems closed now.

Has anyone seen any deals ?

Nope. I have been watching. Would like to get 3-5 rolls.

In year's past, I've done some regional shopping online by changing my store location on the Tractor Supply website. Then I'd ask my local store to honor the other areas pricing. They were reluctant but they did wind up doing it. I also bought a whole pallet of the 5' rolls, so that may have helped.

Looks like Menards has 150'x5' of 10 gauge remesh for $128.89 right now. Not the lowest it's been in the past, but far off the top.

I was looking at that mesh for my upcoming Norway spruce planting. Would you cut each section at 10' or 12'? I see it's 6"x6" spacing if that matters.

I just checked Tracor Supply and it’s up to 150$ for 100’ of 2x4” welded wire fencing! Good thing I’m running out of space for trees before I run out of money to buy caging material!

I would think 10 foot would be fine ? I cut them tighter at times, but it depends on what type of tree ..

I am going to start pulling some of my larger fences and just put up a small diameter to prevent bucks from rubbing on my bigger trees. I would prefer the apples land outside of the fence, then the bear, and racoon wont have to destroy the tree and fence to get at the fallen apples.

I've always cut at 10'. Easy division of the standard roll lengths and winds up being a good size for young spruce.

On occasion I've found used wire fencing on craigslist or local auctions. It can look pretty bad in the listing photos, but by the time its cut into 10' pieces it doesn't make much difference.

Its usually a pretty good price on craigslist, so for me it depends more on how close they are and whether its enough fence to be worth the trouble.

Thats what I do once the tube comes off I size the wire so it's about 1ft bigger than the tree
