My oldest and I made it out for our 1st hike. We still can't get inside our gate due to snow, so we parked by the road and headed toward our best winter food plot. These were all found in or within 150 yards of it. Quite a bit of snow in the timber yet. Let's see what you guys are finding.
A couple weeks ago I saw this cage was busted up bad from a distance. There’s so much snow I just put it off until today while shed hunting I wanted to check it out. I was trying to figure out what happened, 2 of the 3 fiberglass posts were busted and I was attempting to bend the cage back into shape before I even noticed both sheds. The cage is salvageable, found 2 sheds and the Norway inside the cage is just fine.
Sheds will be falling off a bit early this year since so much of the US had such a brutal cold snap. Stress is what does it, and so much snow cover and cold will definitely stress them. Get out and look for sheds - I bet they’re dropping like flies now
Update: found the other side of my target buck in a little piece I didn’t check over the weekend! Another decent shed 30 yards from it. Must have had a bachelor group pass through and got very, very lucky.
Yesterday was by FAR my best day ever. Found 21, then another 5 today. Four match sets ! 10" of snow kept the critters off them for a change. (I found a couple more after the pic :-))

I have pictures from him this past season only. My best guess based on body size was he was 4.5, but without previous history aging him might be a crapshoot, this pic he looks 3.5. Tons of nighttime pics this year but maybe 2 during daylight. Thats what it takes around here for them to make it through the season.
