    Do deer eat Buckeye's?

Yes, these are the words I usually associate with buckeyes.

    What are the Odds?

I want to broadcast some rye grain into my food plots to fill in and help nurse the clover. The plots also contain daikon radish and chicory. The rain forecast for the next 15 days is dismal with the highest percentage being 20% chance. What are the odds the rye grain will germinate with just...

    What to Expect

Ok planted my plots two weeks ago. Daikon Radish, Chicory, and a white Clover blend. Since then received 1/4" rain in one event and another 3/4" in another event. How much growth should I have expected in those two weeks? I have emergence and some of the radish is maybe three inches tall. How...

    Got Them In

Bought it at Agri Supply but I know DR carries a similar one. If your breaking new ground it requires patience and many hours on the back of the atv. Once I bought a atv sprayer and started using Gly it really helped. Does not work well on hard pan like a log landings but does well on fields.

    4 wheeler marker?

I have issues in the past as well but what I started doing was do a pass and then instead turning back for another pass I loop all the way around and make the next pass in the same direction of the first. It adds time but I can see the previous pass path better that way instead of going against it.

    Solo Hand Spreader Settings

Looks like trial and error. Lol No offense Dan but I think I will go with Joe Buck's recommendation.

    Solo Hand Spreader Settings

I received my new Solo Hand spreader yesterday and to my surprise there were no seed setting recommendations except for fertilizer and grass seed included or affixed to the spreader. Any recommendations for spreading clover? I googled but wasn't able to find anything but the suggestion for trial...

    Plot Mix Planting Question

The rye was going serve as a nurse crop for everything else. Any suggestions to plant with the mix instead of the rye?

    Plot Mix Planting Question

OK. I have two plots I will be planting for the fall. A 2 acre and a 1 acre. I plan on planting a clover mix, chicory, daikon radish, and rye grain. The land is in east North Carolina. Zone 6 I believe. Question is when should I plant? I know you usually don't plant grains until later September...

Soy Beans or Iron Clay Peas

The more I thought about it the more I realized an acre of beans or peas wouldn't stand a chance so I am going to plant the whole thing and let the chips fall where they may.

Soy Beans or Iron Clay Peas

First off I wasn't going to plant a spring/summer plot because I thought the farmer was going to plant soy beans and figured why waste the money. My food plot is 2 acres of grown over field sandwiched between two large ag fields that I tilled under back in January. It turns out they planted...

    Herd Doe

Not certain about the buck portion but we have had does that had gained way to much knowledge over the years. I have always been a proponent of shooting the younger does. Older does cycle through estrus more consistently, are more successful at raising fawns, and generally have multiple fawns...

tried video on my trail cameras for the first time

It is amazing what you will miss with just a still photo. A lot can happen in the 30 seconds between photos. Speaking to the raising them up. The last picture at a mineral lick of the biggest buck I got on camera last year was him staring at the camera. No glow and 6' feet up is all I do anymore.

Organizing Game Cam Pics & Vids

I save buck pictures naturally but I also created an excel spread sheet listing: Date Time # of deer Doe, Fawn, Buck Location I name the bucks so I can track their progression and attempt to categorize does by any distinctive marks (notches in ears, throat patch, etc...) I have gone to almost...
